This Age has been one of intermittent war with Shadow. With the Orb in the hands of the chosen keepers and their Gods gone from the lands, the people of Therodon slowly began to rebuild their lives.
A great empire of Man, called the Empire of Ulterotha, arisen and the fighting has been fierce. The Dwarves began to form their own kingdom, Kingdom of Forathia. The different Elven races began forming their empire as well over the lands and many were even greater than that of Man. The newer races as well began to rebuild their lives.
The remaining Shadowlords occasionally breach the Shadowbreak only to be quickly thrown back by the Jewel Knights, the greatest Elven warriors. The Darklords, consisting of Man, Dwarves, Orcs, Trolls, Goblins and many others, are becoming fierce warriors. Their God, Shaitan, granting them powers unimaginable. And many of these warriors vanished without a trace.
And with the creation of these great empires, came the need for someone(s) who could listen in on arguments and make suggestions without taking sides. One who would never condone aggression against other 'governments' or peoples (unless in defense or when assaulting a Dark Realm). Or one who has knowledge that could prove important to the races of Therodon. Three people did come about with a solution to this new found need and so doing went about the founding of the College of Loremasters, a teaching institution where youths from across the world are gathered and trained in the ways of the Order.
And so Kirin T'thaan, Illmaris Terisonen, and Andraax traveled the World, recruiting promising members, training and educating, and so began to bring the World out of Shadows and into a World of Light. Thus ending the Age of Shadows.
A thousand years ago, Taws caused two iron stars to fall from the sky and Allya took up the stars and forged a blade from one and a hilt from the other, setting the Orb upon it as a pommel-stone. In the city where Shaitan laid, he felt in his soul the forging of the sword and he tasted fear for the first time in his life.
Time change drastically for this Age. The people of Therodon experiencing their first change in seasons. Each learning to live in the changing weather. All was well in this Age of Rebirth. Kingdoms grew stronger with each new age.
The Loremasters work continued to grow strong as they recruited more and more people into their Order. The Home of the Loremasters' location based on a unique island known only to those attending the College or those whom the Loremasters have allowed within. And with the knowledge they have gather thus far, the Library of Nomikos is established on an isle in Jaiman.
But many of the people of Therodon were finding their travels slow going. Many were becoming lost in the growing wilderness and seas. And with this new problem arose the first Guild of Navigators, a secretive group which offered guaranteed safe travel as a service to anyone who can afford their fee. As time continued on the Navigator Guilds sprang up across the united and set up a sophisticated network of obelisks, allowing anyone to 'summon' a Navigator. But these Guilds while treated warily by nearly all the peoples of Therodon aware of them (even those who interact with them regularly) are grudgingly accepted as a necessary element if there is to be any kind of long-distance, reasonably safe and reliable travel. For the Age of Rebirth, the peoples of Therodon saw their lands flourishing once again.
But once more the people of Therodon witnessed something terrible. A cataclysm of cosmic proportions sent shock waves through the universes, and caused a 'gate' or 'tear' in the interdimensional fabric. Those who witness this spectacular event were drawn within as a new race of Man, Elves, and a race of half-beast/half-man, fled through the 'gate' from they're own world and appearing in the lands of Therodon.
Also at this time, a tiny black hole (its origins also possibly in another universe) struck Therodon, passing through the world and erupting out the other side. It extruded core material behind it as it exits, and the Pillar of the Gods (a pinnacle of black crystal and metal several miles high located in Thuul) is created. Severe earthquakes and tidal waves cause widespread devastation, especially in the region surrounding the pillar. And as fast as the 'gate' appeared it was gone, along with a few races from Therodon.
The people of Therodon were terrified when the sea began to rage its wars and the earth began to shake and split apart even further. Many believed that Shaitan was awake and seeking vengeance against them. But as soon as it started all was quiet once more. The people spoke in hushed tones and prayed quietly to their Gods in thanks.
But the new races that arrived through the gate looked around in fright at their new, yet familiar surroundings. The ones that arrived together huddled closer for safety. The new race of Elves smiled as they look upon their new deserted home. The were-races looked upon these Elves and they as well smile in relief, holding their children nearby as they slowly revert to their human form. And the brown-skinned people look about their new surroundings and in hushed tones they pray to their gods for bringing them to a new land.
In the closing of the Age of Rebirth, the Loremasters summoned all the Kings from each land together. Once together, they warned them all, "Once more Shaitan will strike out against our peoples and land. During his time of rest, Shaitan has called about more of his kind. Gods in their own rights. We warn you now, for soon Shaitan will wage yet another war. Call upon Allya's people. Gandore's people. Marra's people. Alamar's people. And Torak's people. You all must unite as one to win the coming war. Join and become one once more. Do it for the sake of Therodon."
The Kings, with a look of fear upon their faces, turned to each other remembering the Battle of Ianmmyrth and how the Gods joined with them. Before they could voice their concern Kirin spoke: "I know your fears. And I know that many of your people pray to the Gods who created our lands and the peoples as well. I know that many pray to the Children of our Gods as well. The Gods will be with us in spirit in this new battle. Trust me when I say this. For they loved us and still love us and would never want to see Shaitan and his kind destroy their children or their former home. Show faith and all will be well."
And with this said, the Loremasters turned and walked away, not revealing the entire information to the Kings. Thus ending the Age of Rebirth.
The people of Therodon prepared and were ready for the Wars of Dominion.
Ordainers lead armies of unspeakable horrors from the bowels of the earth and beyond. Shards and Kaeden , Xyr, Dark Priests and demons of every type destroy life with zealous efficiency and unmatched power.
The Jewel Knights are revealed in their full majesty as fierce Warriors and joined the forces. Even the Lesser Gods, unbeknownst to any, joined to combat the legions of the Darkness. The Unlife is driven back once more, all of its powerful servants destroyed. Many valiant Loremasters and Sages were killed, however.
With the battle won once more, the elves, dwarves, fushion races, Egyptian, and Man stood on the battlefield. Together once more, their hatred put aside. The Jewel Knights vanishing at the end of the battle. The Lesser Gods drifting off one by one unseen by any. The newer races of Therodon returned to finish rebuilding their new life.
Yet, the disruptions of the War caused a ripple in space-time, reopening several Portals. And as for Shaitan, once more he cowers in fear as he felt the Hands of Chaos striking down many of his chosen. Their pain becomes his. Their wounds appearing on his flesh as well. And he felt the working of the Orb deeply within him as the Orb flared to life. He felt and at times saw his own people vanish into a thin puff of air.
The people of Therodon once more witness Shaitan's defeat and heard his cries of anguish and rage, then a quite hush feel over the land. The Wars of Dominion causing many people their life but a strong defeat against the Forces of Evil. Thus ending the Age of Fear.
The World of Therodon is slowly rebuilding itself. Random Portal operation also intensifies, allowing more creatures of the Void into the world. The Loremasters work constantly to determine the causes.
The Loremasters have learned that a dark power has built a citadel in the northern waters of the Endless Sea. But the area is swathed in darkness and a veil of shadow, which they cannot penetrate. Agents sent in do not return. As the darkness grows, their concern intensifies.
A Dragon is seen, the mighty beast terrorizing the city of Eidolon. Yet it does no damage and vanishes into the clouds. Some claim that it had a human rider. Rumors abound that the Prince of Sel-kai is subsequently blackmailed into paying a 'protection' ransom.
The brown-skinned people, known as Egyptians, began to rebuild their home in NW Thuul. And with the rebuilding of their city, they also brought their Gods into being here on this world.
Has Shaitan and his minions given up on domination? What more could the people of Therodon fear now?
This is the World of Therodon.
